Review of the We-Vibe Tango pocket sized vibrator with powerful vibrations.
For a sneak-peek of our “Girls and their Toys” photobook featuring the We-Vibe Tango, please see our prototype chapter.
You can see how the tip is angled just like a lipstick vibrator.
The surface of the vibe is plastic, but it’s a high-quality thermoplastic that is phthalate-free. It’s not a heavy vibe at all, but it doesn’t feel as cheap as it initially looks right in the box. There’s a sense when holding it that something powerful lurks inside.
The vibe charges by a magnetic charging station. With a 90-minute charge, it can run for up to two hours (though, usually closer to an hour).
Despite it’s tiny design, the We-Vibe Tango is one of the most powerful vibrators I own, with high-quality rumbly vibrations that are sure to please almost anyone. They are powerful enough to please even the most experienced users, yet wouldn’t be overpowering for a beginner. This vibe is so rumbly that even the first low setting is enough to get me off if I concentrate. The highest setting is great, but definitely not something I can start out with. I have to work up to the highest setting, and it’s a pleasure doing so!
The eight vibration settings are:
- Low
- Medium Low
- Medium High
- High
- 9 Pulses, followed by Several Quick Pulses
- Roller coaster from Low to High
- Quick Pulses
- 2 Long Pulses, 3 Quick Pulses
It’s also surprisingly quiet. As in, it’s actually quiet. Not the “we swear it’s whisper-quiet but, in reality, it wakes the dead” kind of quiet. It can be softly heard from across a small room. It cannot be heard through walls. I actually like the sound it makes: a low, deep, resonating rumble.
We-Vibe recommends that only water-based lubes be used with the Tango. Even though it’s not silicone, perhaps there are compatible polymers at play that keep it from working well with silicone lube. Stick with water-based, folks. Aside from that, you can clean the Tango easily with soap and water. That’s the beauty of waterproof toys.
